We are building the future of healthcare for Black and People of Colour
We believe that the quality of your healthcare should not be compromised due to the colour of your skin. We are building a world where black and brown people can access healthcare without having to worry if their practitioner understands them.
Imagine a hospital, a hospital with different departments. We are building a virtual hospital which will allow for black and brown people to navigate healthcare and have improved outcomes. This will be utilising a range of different solutions to tackle the problem of health inequalities that exist. We are starting with our main focus being skin health. Hutano will be the vehicle that we use to take us to a world where black and brown people are receiving equitable healthcare. Currently we are focusing on building a native iOS app and scaling the platform further.
To date, our founder co-authored Mind the Gap a clinical handbook of signs and symptoms in black and brown skin. This has revolutionised the healthcare landscape when people think about diversity in teaching.
